SCHUYLER – Faith Irene Phillips, age 80, of Watkins Road, passed away peacefully on Monday Morning January 20, 2025 in her home. She was born February 27, 1944 In Herkimer a daughter to the late Herman and Mabel Smith Baylor. She was raised and educated in Herkimer and a graduate of Herkimer High School. She furthered her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. For many years she worked at Folts Home in Herkimer. On November 10, 1963 she married William C. Phillips in the Frankfort United Methodist Church a blessed and loving union of fifty three years until his passing on January 12, 2017. Faith was very passionate about nursing, she truly cared for the residents that she took care of. In her free time she loved to go camping at tractor shows, she was a huge history buff, she enjoyed reading, spending time in her garden, a lover of pets and most of all being with her grandchildren. Surviving her are two sons; William Phillips, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Utica, Bradley Phillips and his wife Penny of Poland, two sisters; Dolly Fikes and her husband Rod of Mohawk, Pamela McGivern and her husband Frank of South Dakota, seven grandchildren; William J. Phillips and his wife Ivy, Rebecca Fambrough and her husband David, Rachael Phillips and her fiancé Philip MacLeod, Brian March, Jeffrey Near, Ryan Sullvan and his wife Sara and Paige Sullivan, four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved pets Zoey, Mack, Sylvester and her special friend and caregiver Linda Colangelo. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Rose Hargrove. A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 pm in her home on Watkins Road in Schuyler.
