HERKIMER-Florence I.Lowell 90 of Eureka Avenue died on Friday afternoon, September 1, 2000 in FoltsHomes Herkimer. She was born on June 6, 1910 in Alexandria Bay, daughter of thelate Alonzo and Emma Carr Johnson. When Florence was a young girl she along withher family moved to this area. She was educated in Frankfort Schools. OnFebruary 23, 1943 she married Ralph Lowell in the United Methodist ChurchParsonage Herkimer. Her life was caring for her home and family. She was amember of the First United Methodist Church, Herkimer. Surviving besides her husbandof fifty seven years Ralph are two sons and their wives; Donald and BarbaraLowell of Glouster, VA, Roy and Joann Preston of Mohawk, four daughters; LoisHarrup of Brooksville, FL, Gladys and her husband Byron Mosher of Plattsburgh,Esther and her husband Charles Rogers of Eagar, AZ, Carol and Roger Blum of EastHerkimer, a sister; Nellie Looman of Herkimer, forty-three grandchildren,fifty-four great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, several nieces,nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by sixbrothers, a daughter Nellie Lowell in 1986, two grandsons; Charles Rogers in1995 and Jamie Blum in 1997. Funeral service will be onTuesday at 2:00 PM in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. TheReverend William Otis, pastor of the First United Church Herkimer willofficiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will bepresent in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends two hours prior tothe funeral service (12:00 to 2:00 PM.)
