HERKIMER-Florence O. Sudakow, age 72, of Folts Street, passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 20, 2007, in Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. She was born on June 13, 1934 in Remsen daughter of the late Willis and Ruth Pritchard Wood. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School with the class of 1952. Florence was married to Louis V. Sudakow who preceded her in death on July 11, 1986. For the past eighteen years she worked as a cook at Chets Diner in Herkimer. In her leisure time she enjoyed flower gardening in her back yard and arts and crafts. She was unique in being able to blend her love of flowers with her artistic talent, creating many arts and crafts with special floral designs in them. Many will remember Florence as an avid antique collector. And to all of us she will always be remembered as a warm, loving and giving person. She will be greatly missed by everyone, especially her family. Surviving are her son, Daniel and his wife Laura Sudakow of Schuyler, a brother William Wood and his wife Linda of Gloversville, a sister, Doris Clinch and her husband Marvin of Durhamville, five grandchildren, many nieces,. nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband Louis Sr. she was preceded in death by a son Louis V. Sudakow Jr. and two sisters, Grace Bawolah and Minerva Plunkett. Funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Wrightson Tongue, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery , Frankfort . The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday (today) from 5:00 until 8:00pm and on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral service 9:00 until 10:00am. Mrs. Sudakows family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the fourth and fifth floor staff at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital and to dear friend Bridgett Jones for her tender love and care shown to Florence .
