BURLINGTON FLATS-Frances M. Kondrick age 77 of County Highway #16 passed away on Thursday morning, August 14, 2014 in the Otsego Manor, Cooperstown. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side. She was born on December 23, 1936 in Brooklyn, daughter of the late Francis "Frank" and Anna Porthmus Trainor. Frances was raised in Brooklyn and was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School. On August 28, 1955 she was united in marriage with John A. Kondrick in Glendale, Queens. They made their home in Commack, LI where she worked as a dental assistant with her husband John in his dental practice. She retired in 1999. It was that year that they made their home in Burlington Flats. Mrs. Kondrick had a strong belief in God and was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker R. C. Church Richfield Springs. While living in Commack, she was a member of the Christ the King Church where she and her husband served as Eucharistic Ministers for twenty-five years. She also received the Pope Pius the 10th Award for her twenty years of service to the church. To all who knew her she was a kind, caring and devout woman who found great pleasure in doing for others while looking for nothing in return. She will be truly missed by her many friends and family especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchild. Surviving are her devoted husband of fifty-eight years John, four sons, John Kondrick and his wife Jeannine of Tampa, FL, David Kondrick, Edward Kondrick and his wife Jane of Manorville, LI, Thomas Kondrick and his wife Kristine of Lake Grove, LI, three daughters and their husbands, Anne and William Wood of Sidney Center, Karen and Robert Brady of Manorville, LI, Elizabeth and Robert Heming of Holtsville, LI, sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Trainor. Funeral from J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs will be on Monday morning at 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in Saint Joseph the Worker R.C. Church, Richfield Springs. The Reverend Bernard Osi Ampong, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Richfield Springs. Calling hours for Mrs. Kondrick will be on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. in the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association or the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
