HERKIMER-Francis Murphy Murph age 61 of Church Street died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning January 8, 2003 in his home. He was born on May 20, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ son of James and Elizabeth Lubeck Murphy. He was resident of Herkimer since 1999. Murph enjoyed people and watching the things that they do. His leisure time activities included bowling, going to summer camp, fishing and eating out. He was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Surviving him are five brothers, John, Fred, George, James and Raymond Murphy. A sister Elizabeth Murphy preceded him in death in 1949. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Robert Shinos, Pastor of the Church of Saints Anthony and Joseph will officiate. Mr. Murphy will be laid to rest in Middleville Cemetery later this spring. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday (12:00 noon to 1:00 PM).
