STRATFORD Gareth Edward Riggin, age 70, of State Highway 29A passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. He had is loving family at his side. Gareth was born September 5, 1941 son of the late Walter Wands and Barbara Winona Hemion Riggin. He was married to the former Susan Betty Pisarik making their home in Stratford since 1975 coming from Vermont. Mrs. Riggin passed away on February 25, 2006. He was a security guard for Byrnes Security in Utica and a self-employed driver. Surviving him are two sons; Michael Riggin and his wife Peggy of Chittenango, Gareth Riggin of Warners, five daughters Alexis Pisarik of Texas, April Johnson of Johnstown, Barbara Larochelle and her husband Steve of Stratford, Susan Moore and her husband Kevin of Salisbury and Stephanie Daleyand her husband Joshua of Dolgeville, a sister Lynn Williams of Pennsylvania, seven grandchildren, Brandon, Matthew, Steven, Shawna, Janine, Samuel, and Mary, four great grandchildren Brayden, Adelyn, Landon, and Elijah and a dear friend Estelle DePuma. Funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home Inc. 115 Court Street, Herkimer.
