HERKIMER - Gary K. Lowell, 61, of Richfield Springs, formerly of Herkimer, died Monday night, Dec. 17, 2001, in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. He was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Herkimer, a son of the late Guy and Sarah Helmer Lowell. He was raised and educated in Herkimer. Besides his parents, his brother, Ralph Lowell preceded him in death. His surviving relatives include an uncle and aunt, Ralph and Wanda Helmer of East Herkimer; three aunts, Ida Fuller and Ada Miller, both of Herkimer and Myrtle Lowell of Ilion; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. to receive relatives and friends. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. William Otis, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Herkimer, officiating. Interment will take place next spring in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls.
