HERKIMER - Glenn V. Kroft, 36, of Pleasant Avenue, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in his home. He was born April 23, 1965, in Lansing, Mich., son of Julie S. Murphy Kroft and the late Glenn A. Kroft. Glenn came to this area as a young boy. He was educated in Frankfort-Schuyler and Utica Public Schools. A resident of Herkimer since 1984, he was currently employed by the Hale Manufacturing Company in Herkimer. He was a very creative person who loved to paint and was also a published author. Glenn will always be remembered as a caring and hopeful person and will be greatly missed by many, especially his family. Surviving are his wife, Venessa Hoage Kroft; his mother, Julie Kroft of Utica; three daughters, Renee Kroft and Aria and Jenna Lajuett, both of Herkimer; two brothers, Tarre and Jeffrey Kroft, both of Lynwood, Wash.; two sisters, Colleen Silva and her husband Thomas of Tacoma, Wash. and Mary Ellen Padula of Round Rock, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday evening at 8 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends two hours prior to the memorial service, from 6-8 p.m. on Monday.
