RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Gloria J. Yager, age 37, of County Hwy #22 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She was born on March 4, 1976, in Herkimer, a daughter of Larry Knapp and the late Janet Pesta Knapp.A lifelong Richfield Springs resident she attended Richfield Springs High School. For many years she worked in sales and more recently at Price Choppers in Cooperstown. Due to her illness she worked until 2011.On May 7, 2012, she was united in marriage to Scott Yager.They shared a loving a devoted relationship for over 14 years. Glorias life revolved around her family and close friends.She spoke her mind with a loving heart.Those who knew her could sense a warmth and friendship, always doing for others and seeking nothing in return. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be truly missed. Surviving are her husband Scott, three sons, Kyle, Gage and Jacob Yager, all of Richfield Springs, her father Larryand step-mother Michele Knapp of the town of Columbia, a brother Kenneth Knapp of PA, two sisters, Alison and Elizabeth Knapp of the town of Columbia, her father and mother-in-law Steve and Cheryl Yager of Richfield Springs, an aunt Linda Wells of Mohawk an uncle Jamie Knapp of Herkimer, brother and sister in law, Michael and Shelli Yager and their children Grayden and Logan Yager all of Richfield Springs. Besides her mother Janet, she was preceded in death by her uncle Alan Knapp. Calling hours in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Spring will be on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.A prayer service will follow in the funeral home at 4:00 p.m.Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
