Obituary

Mohawk- Harry G. King "Toot", 84 of Creek Road passed away on Friday morning December 22, 2000 in Little Falls Hospital. He was born March 27, 1916 in Herkimer son of the late William and Grace Pinkstone King. He was raised in Herkimer and educated in Herkimer Schools. An honorably discharged World War II veteran he had served with the U.S. Army. On January 30, 1942 he married Isabel Dibble in Christ Episcopal Church, Herkimer. A loving and devoted union of fifty-two years until her passing on June 17, 1994. A resident of Mohawk since 1942 , Mr. King had his own trucking and hauling business in Mohawk. He was a member Christ Episcopal Church, Herkimer. Surviving him are a sister Mary OConnell of Ilion, several nieces and nephews. Besides his beloved parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers William and Elmer King and a sister Catherine Keefe. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday at 9:00am in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, with the Rev. Brian Kellington Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Herkimer, officiating. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery next spring. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice envelopes are available at the funeral home.
