RICHFIELD SPRINGS- Helen E. Buck, 77, of Canadarago Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 10, 2005 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. Helen was born on August 1, 1927in Mineola, a daughter of the late Paul and Elise Hyde Vossberg. She was raised and educated in Westbury and on August 20, 1949 she married Eugene R. Buck in Westbury a loving and blessed union of 45 years until his passing in 1995. They moved to Richfield Springs in 1988. Surviving are three sons; David of Cooperstown, Paul of Groton, and John of Unadilla, four grandchildren Deric, Travis, Christopher and Shelly, one sister Edith Smith of Westbury and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Ethel Vossberg. Funeral service for Helen will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs with the Reverend Lyman Johnson officiating, interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Helens memory may be made to The Church of Christ Uniting or The American Cancer Society envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
