RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Helen Ann Wirsch, 58, of Center Street, passed away Saturday night, Aug. 31, 2002, in St. Luke's-Memorial Medical Center, New Hartford.She was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Newburgh, daughter of Helen Ann Clegg King and the late Donald King. Helen was raised in Newburgh and educated in Saint Francis of Assissi School, Sisters of the Resurrection School and graduated from Lady Cliff High School. On Aug. 20, 1983, she married George F. Wirsch in Saint Patrick's Church in Newburgh. She and her husband moved to the Richfield Springs area in 1990. Helen had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Catholic life. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Saint Joseph's Rosary Society. She will be greatly missed by many, especially her family. Surviving are her husband of 19 years, George; two sons and their wives, Todd and Amanda Travis of Richfield Springs and Clancy and Shannon Travis of Schuyler Lake; one daughter, Robin Travis of Richfield Springs; two brothers and their wives, Michael and Elizabeth King of Greenwood Lake and Christopher and Elizabeth King of Beacon; six grandchildren, Robin Cronin, Jennifer Travis, Brianna Travis, Autumn Travis, Joshua Travis and Magdalina Travis; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 W. James St., Richfield Springs will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. in Saint Joseph's Church in Richfield Springs. The Rev. Terrance Healey will officiate. Mrs. Wirsch will be laid to rest in Saint Joseph's Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home on Wednesday to receive relatives and friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made out to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
