RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Helena R. Mlodynia age 68 of McRorie Road passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning February 17,2009 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Christopher Englert in Reisterstown, MD. She was born on September 7, 1940 in Manhattan, daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Pszybysz Lysik. Helenawas raised in Queens, and was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School, class of 1958. On May 7, 1961 she was united in marriage with Henry Mlodynia in Saint Marys Church in Woodside, Queens. They made their home in Commack, LI until 1998 when they moved to Richfield Springs. For seventeen years Mrs. Mlodnyia worked for General Molds in Hauppauge, LI, retiring in 1997 as Office Manager. Helena had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Catholic life. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Springfieldand a member of the Rosary Society in Commack. Those who knew her, will always remember a loving, caring and hopeful person who was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her devoted husband of forty-eight years Henry, three daughters, Susan Golembeski of Miami, FL, Patricia Kasinski and her husband Paul of Hebron, KY, Deborah Englert and her husband Christopher of Reisterstown, MD, three brothers, Eugene Lysik and his wife Joyce of SanAntonio, TX, Joseph Lysik of Fort Salanga, LI, Thomas Lysik and his wife Mary of Canton OH, nine grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside funeral service will be on Saturday at 10:00 am in Springfield Center Cemetery. The Reverend John Roos will officiate. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
