VOORHEESVILLE Henry P. Lundquist Jr., 78, of Altamont Road, died Dec. 30, 2001, at the Veterans Hospital in Albany.
He was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Waterville, the son of the late Henry P. and Rose Marcel Lundquist Sr.
An area resident for most of his life, he graduated from Richfield Springs High School. He continued his education in electronics, graduating from Hudson Valley Community College. A U.S. Army veteran, he proudly served his country from 1943 and was honorably discharged as staff sergeant in 1946. In 1944, he married Shirley Hartwell. Henry had worked as a sales manager in the Albany region for The Magnavox Co., retiring in 1986. He and his wife have resided in Voorheesville since 1960. He was a member of St. Matthews of Voorheesville; St. Joseph's Church in Richfield Springs, the Knights of Columbus and the Voorheesville American Legion.
Surviving besides his wife of 57 years, Shirley; are two sons, Thomas Paul and his wife, Amy, Lundquist of Florida, and Eric Charles Lundquist of Ravena; two daughters, Carol Rose and her husband, Ronald, Pullmain of Selkirk, and Joan Marie Lundquist of Glenmont; and seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs, with the Rev. Terance Healy officiating. Interment with military honors will take place next spring in St. Joseph Cemetery, Richfield Springs. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
