NEWPORT-Hilda A. Schroeder age 95 formerly of Newport entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning July 10, 2003 in Little Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls. She was born on March 23, 1908 in West Schuyler, daughter of the late Sherman and Cora Tanner Franklin. A lifelong Newport resident, she was a graduate of West Canada Valley Central Schools. On September 28, 1927 she married Fred Schroeder in Newport, a devoted union of forty-one years until his passing on January 12, 1969. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and hopeful person. She will be greatly missed by many especially her friends and family. She leaves four nieces; Mary and her husband Robert Foley of The Villages, FL, Candy Langton of The Villages, FL, Carol and Gail Rice of Vernon Center and her dear friend Lila Palmer of Newport.
