Ida Rose Fuller, age 79, formerly of Herkimer, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Albany Medical Center. She was born in Herkimer on July 4, 1939, daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel Nelson Helmer. A lifelong area resident she was raised and educated in Herkimerand was married to Fred A. Fuller, Sr. He died in 1991. Her life was devoted to her family becoming a Momma Bear when necessary to protect her family. She was there for them in good and troubled times. She enjoyed a good time and especially loved to celebrate her birthday on July 4th. She will be fondly remembered for her laughter, and compassion and will be sadly missed. Surviving are two sons, Fred Fuller, Jr, Arthur Fuller and his wife Elizabeth all of Herkimer, a special granddaughter, Haley Moore of Ft. Plain, severalnieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours for Mrs. Fuller will be on Tuesday from 4-6p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Joelle Faulks, of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls will officiate. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
