COOPERSTOWN, Ingeborg E. Emmelmann age 80 of County Highway # 53 passed away unexpectedly on Monday December 10, 2001 in Bassett Healthcare Cooperstown. She was born on February 9, 1921 in Germany, daughter of the late Kurt and Else Muller Michael. Ingeborg was raised in Germany and graduated high school there. On September 26, 1942 she married Walter F. Emmelmann in Germany. A resident of Cooperstown since 1983 she and her husband came to this area from Connecticut. Mrs. Emmelmann was of the Lutheran faith. In her leisure time she was an avid reader as well as a good cook. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and hopeful person. Surviving are her husband of fifty-nine years Walter, one son; Peter and his wife Patricia Emmelmann of Broad Brook, CT, a daughter; Inga and her husband Allan Rudd of Jordanville, four grandchildren; Mark and Brad Emmelmann of Broad Brook, CT, Thomas and Stephanie Rudd of Jordanville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs. The Reverend James Barnes pastor of the Federated Church Jordanville will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the Jordanville Public Library. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
