RICHFIELD SPRINGS Irene F. Bronson, 68, of Brick House Road, died unexpectedly on Wednesday,Feb. 27, 2002, while vacationing in Humboldt, Ariz.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1933, in Chateaugay, adaughter of the late Smith and Mary King Grimshaw.
Raised and educated in Chateaugay on June 4, 1955, she marriedMorris Bronson in Poland. They had a devoted union of 45 years until his passingon May 5, 1995. She and her family had resided in this area for 33 years, comingfrom Cold Brook.
Along with raising a family of eight children, for severalyears she had worked at the Bella Vista in Richfield Springs.
She was a friend to many and will be remembered as a caringand helpful person. Her love was her home, children and grandchildren. Her hobbywas making hand-crafted wind chimes.
Surviving are four sons, Ronald and his wife, April, Bronsonof Richfield Springs, Daune and his wife, Fawn, Bronson of Amsterdam, MorrisBronson Jr., and Michael and his wife, Patty, Bronson, all of Cooperstown; fourdaughters, Polly Tylee and her husband, Robert, of Canajoharie, Bonnie Neuscheland her husband, John, and Irene Bond, all of Richfield Springs, Maureen Cottonand her husband, Gary, of Little Falls; three brothers, Allan Grimshaw ofGeorgia, Francis and his wife, Sandy, Grimshaw of Middleville, Thomas and hiswife, Beverly, Grimshaw of Humboldt, Ariz.; 33 grandchildren; sevengreat-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death bytwo brothers, Delbert and Frank Grimshaw, and one sister, Marion Victor.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7 in theJ. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 W. James St., Richfield Springs, with theRev. John Young officiating. The family will be present in the funeral home toreceive relatives and friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7.
