Obituary

Jordanville, NY Irene Muscynski Hugick of Hicks Road, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 29, 2017 in her home. She had the comfort and support of her loving family at her side. She was born on January 1, 1930, in the Town of Warren, a daughter of the late Karol and Lucy Kaczeroski Muscynski. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Van Hornesville Central School. After attending Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, NY, Mrs. Hugick worked as a secretary for Stone and Meehan Insurance Agency in Richfield Springs, NY. On August 28, 1951, she married Stanley Joseph Hugick in St. Josephs Church Richfield Springs, NY. They shared a loving and devoted union of forty-seven years until his passing on October 26, 1998. Mrs. Hugick is survived by their children, Arlene Perrin and her husband Randy of Amsterdam, NY, Linda Mosher and her husband Charles of Mohawk, NY, Elaine Pacchiana and her husband Douglas of Greenwich, CT, Brenda Hugick of Mohawk, NY, and Brian Hugick and his wife Julie of Cortlandt Manor, NY; six grandchildren, Sarah Perrin and her husband Michael Nigro of Bennington, VT, Nathan Perrin of Amsterdam, NY, Kayla Mosher of Hendersonville, TN, Nolan Pacchiana of Greenwich, CT, Jordan Mosher of Mohawk, NY, and Troy Hugick of Cortlandt Manor, NY; a sister Mary Smith and her husband Richard of Fort Worth, TX; two brothers-in-law Paul Hugick and his wife Veronica of Richfield Springs, NY and Michael Phalen of Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law Mary R. Lawson and her husband James of Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada and Katherine Hugick of Utica, NY; many nieces and nephews; and several aunts and cousins. Besides her husband and parents Irene was preceded in death by two sisters Steffie J. Gloskey and her husband August and Barbara M. Phalen; a grandson Oliver Ronald Pacchiana in 2013; her parents-in-law Adam P. and Mary T. Papierski Hugick; two brothers-in-law Casimir P. and Adam A. Hugick; and a sister-in-law Jennie M. Fountaine and her husband Marshall. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on June 30, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Josephs Church, Richfield Springs, NY. Interment will follow in Highland Rural Cemetery, Jordanville, NY. Memorial donations in Mrs. Hugicks honor may be made to the Owen D. Young/Van Hornesville Alumni Association, P.O.
