RICHFIELDSPRINGS James Kurt Lenhard, age 44, of McKoons Road, passed away onWednesday night, February 26, 2003, in Bassett Healthcare Cooperstown after abrief illness.
A son of KurtLenhard and the late Mary (Hoffman) Lenhard, he was born on September 11, 1958in Herkimer. A lifelong RichfieldSprings resident he graduated from Richfield Springs Central High School.For a few years he had worked as a short order cook for the Tally-Ho, theDiner and Rosewood Terrace. For thepast two and half years he had been working as a resident assistant in FoltsHomes. He enjoyed being around people, talking withand caring for the residents. Hewill be greatly missed by the friends he made while working there.Jim was full of life and lived it to the fullest.He was friendly, outgoing and always had a story to share with hisfriends. He enjoyed NASCARracing and was a fan of DaleJarrett car # 88. He was amember of St. Josephs Church, Richfield Springs.
Surviving areis father, Kurt Lenhard, one sister, Sharon Wickline and her husband Raymond,and his niece Becky Wickline all of Richfield Springs.
Funeral service from J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home onMonday at 10:30 a.m. A mass ofChristian burial will follow in St. Josephs Church. Reverend Terence Healy will officiate. He will be laid to rest later this spring in St. JosephsCemetery, Richfield Springs. Thefamily will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends onSunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Memorialcontributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
