She was born on March 26, 1922, in West Winfield, the daughter of the late Ernest and Anne Vincent Rich. A lifelong area resident she graduated West Winfield High School with the class of 1940. She continued her education at Utica School of Commerce.

Jane had a strong belief in God and was member of the Church of Christ Uniting where she sang in the choir for many years, as well as being involved with many of the church activities. Besides her devotion to her church, she was an avid reader, especially enjoying history. She found peace and tranquility in tending her flower beds. However her greatest joys were the times shared with her family. In Janes words she was blessed with three wonderful girls and her blessings grew with each new grandchild and great-grandchild. She was proud of each of their accomplishment. To have her as your friend was a gift that will always be cherished. Jane will be truly missed.
