EASTON, PA /RICHFIELD SPRINGS- Janice E. Domion, age 92, formerly of Richfield Springs and widow of Philip Domion, Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, May 17, 2012 at her daughters home in Easton, PA.
She was born on March 25, 1920 in Stow, OH, a daughter of the late Carl and Lillian (Webster) Gaylord. On January 3, 1942 she was united in marriage to Philip W. Domion, Sr. in Richfield Springs. They made their home in Richfield Springs operating the family farm on Hyder Road until 1979. Mr. Domion predeceased her on March 9, 1984.
Janice was a devoted, compassionate lady, who was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her beloved children, Jennifer and James Eggleston of Easton, PA, Barbara and Fred Huyck of Susquehanna, PA, Joan Lahr of Nashville, TN, James and Kristin Domion, Connie and Ray Nassar all of Richfield Springs, daughters-in-law Bonnie and Jean Domion both of Richfield Springs, many beloved and precious grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, two brothers Carl and William Gaylord.
Besides her parents and husband of 42 years Philip, she was preceded in death by her sons , Philip Jr., Monte Roy, Edwin, and Lonnie ,a grandson, Mark and her brothers and sisters.
The family will be present in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James, Richfield Springs to receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. followed by a service of the Burial Office from the Book of Common Prayer at 7:00 p.m. The Reverend John Dixon Bartle, Pastor of St. Johns Episcopal Church will be officiating.
A graveside committal service will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 am in St. Josephs Cemetery, Richfield Springs.
Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to St. Johns Episcopal Church, Richfield Springs or the Richfield Springs Emergency Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
