ILION-Jaquie L. Bowman-Richardson age 62 passed away peacefully on Thursday evening March 16, 2017 in Saint Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side. She was born on June 17, 1954 in Herkimer, daughter of Mary Miller Bowman and the late Alfred Bowman. A lifelong area resident she was educated in Herkimer High School. For seventeen years Mrs. Richardson worked as Head Cashier for Ace Hardware Store in Rome and for five years at the New York State Thruway Gift Shop in Schuyler. She retired in June of 2016. To all who knew her she was a loving, caring and fun loving lady with an unforgettable smile. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo as well being an avid NASCAR fan. To her family she was always there for them no matter if it was good times or bad she loved them all. Surviving are a son, Jon Morehouse and his companion Jackie Smith of Ilion, three step-daughters and their husbands, Tammy and Mark Netti of Herkimer, Helena and Larry Mead of Wilmington, NC, Gina and Damion Richardson of Rome, two brothers and their wives, Lee and Debbie Bowman, Victor and Kietha Bowman all of Frankfort, four grandchildren, Brianna, Logan, Alice, and Dillon, 11 step-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins and her special friend, Joyce Sanderson of Ilion. Besides her father Alfred Bowman she was preceded in death by a son, James Morehouse and her brother Randy Bowman. Calling hours for Mrs. Richardson will be on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Mary Tubia officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth's for the compassion and care that was shown to Jaquie.
