UTICA – Jason R. Wilkerson, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 17, 2023 . Jason was born on June 5, 1974 in Ilion a son of Robert G. Wilkerson, Jr, and Alexandra (Sandy) Wilkerson Geviss. He was raised and educated in Herkimer and a 1992 graduate of Herkimer High School. He was last employed as a machine operator with Environmental Composites in Frankfort. Jason had quite the imagination, always a kid at heart! He was a kindhearted and gentle soul who liked to help others, at times to a fault. He enjoyed reading science fiction, watching movies, skiing and golfing with his grandfather. He used to collect bicycles and rebuild them. Some of his most cherished memories were spent with his family and friends at his grandparent's camp on White Lake. He truly loved and adored his daughter even though he was not able to display that emotion due to his circumstances, which he regretted. He will be sadly missed by his friends and especially his family. He is survived by his mother Sandy Geviss and his step father Wayne Geviss of Herkimer, his father Robert Wilkerson, Jr. and his step mother Diane of Richmond, VA, a daughter Jordan Wilkerson of Powhatan, VA, his grandmother Joyce Wilkerson of Annville, PA, a sister Jennifer Wilkerson of Herkimer, two step-sisters Heather Randazzo and her husband Joseph of Little Falls, Christa Brandon and her husband Jeremiah of Virginia, a niece Hannah Minguela of Herkimer, an aunt Joanne Ninestine and her husband James of Geneva,NY, four uncles Vincent Simeone and his wife Debra of St. Marys, GA, W. Scott Wilkerson and his wife Coralee of Palmyra Pa, David Wilkerson of South Carolina, Glenn Wilkerson and his wife Jeanne of Utica, his cousins Justin, Jeffery, Daniel (Elizabeth) and Jodi Wilkerson, Jaime (Michael) Hill, Eric (Carina), Laura, Tarryn Ninestine, Ashley, Carley Simeone , close childhood friends iJason (Priscilla) Darrow, Joseph Pardi, Julie Davis, Joe (Chip) Sweet, Jason Dihrberg, his close friend Michelle and too many other friends to mention. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Carmen and Lina Simeone and Robert G. Wilkerson, Sr. Calling hours for Mr. Wilkerson will take place on Tuesday April 25, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc. 115 Court Street, Herkimer and upon the conclusion of calling hours a funeral service will commence with the Reverend Victor McKusick officiating.
