Obituary

ILION-Jeanette Lee Young age 74 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 15, 2021 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She was born on November 5, 1946 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Walter J. and Grace E. Bowman Ingraham. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Herkimer High School. On September 3, 1966 she was united in marriage to Jack F. Young in Herkimer. For the past sixty years they made their home in Ilion, coming from Frankfort. For twenty one years she worked as a technician for Mohawk Data Sciences in East Herkimer and for fifteen years for Par Technologies in New Hartford. She retired in 2017. Mrs. Young will always be remembered as a loving, caring and helpful lady. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Surviving besides her devoted husband of fifty-four years, Jack are two sons and their wives Darrell Price and wife Brenda, John Young and wife Cindy, one brother, Gary Ingraham and his wife Roberta and a sister, Joyce Sanderson all of Ilion, eight grandchildren; Darrel Price, Jr. and his companion Amanda Barringer, Michael Price and his wife Kayla, Hailee Price, Hannah Price, Kyle Young and his fiance Alyssa Widger, Seth Young, Logan Young and Brody Young, nine great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter Ingraham Jr., Vaughn Ingraham, Ingram Ingraham and Richard Ingraham, three sisters, Alice White, Jean Ingraham and Linda Schrader. All services are private and at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
