ILION-John Nathan Bala age 61 of John Street passed away on Tuesday morning June 12, 2012 in Valley Health Services Inc., Herkimer. He was born on July 3, 1950 in Herkimer son of the late John and Loretta Ford Bala. John was raised and educated in Herkimer. He was a US Army veteran. For many years he worked for his good friend John Natarelli Electrical in East Herkimer. He is survived by two brothers, David Riesel of East Seatucket, Long Island, Terry Riesel and his wife Laura of Canastota, three sisters, Susan Betz and her husband William of Farmingville, Long Island and Wanda Loefler and her husband Robert of Ilion, Jackie Sata of Apollo Beach, FL along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father David Riesel. The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. Funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
