RICHFIELD SPRINGS - John Anthony Consigli Jr., 58, passed away on Monday afternoon Aug. 2, 2021, in his home. He was born on Aug. 10, 1962, in Queens, son of the late John A. Sr. and Barbara C. (Dettinger) Consigli. John was born and raised in New York and graduated from Frank Carey High School, Franklin Square. On July 29, 2011, he was united in marriage to the former Aperecida Consigli on Long Island. They made there home in Port Washington, Long Island, but spent their weekends at the family home on Canadrago Lake. Since childhood, John had enjoyed Canadrago Lake and spent weekends and vacations there for many years. In 2017 they moved into the village of Richfield Springs and have remained there since. For 35 years he has worked as a telecommunications engineer at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He was in charge of all telephone maintenance for the entire hospital. To those who knew John will never forget his gentle way and the love of living a simple life. He was known for his exceptional memory and serious work ethic. He will be truly missed by his many friends and co-workers. Surviving are his beloved wife of 10 years, Aparecida; and brother, Christopher Consigli of Richfield Springs. Calling hours for Mr. Consigli will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6, at J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 W. James St., Richfield Springs. Private funeral and committal services will be at the convenience the family.
