RICHFIELD SPRINGS - John K. Neuschel, age 55, of Church Street, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 16, 2010 in his home. He was born on May 16, 1955, in Niskayunason of the late James Kenneth and Ruth A. Hogan Neuschel. A lifelong resident of Richfield Springs he was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. He also attended Mohawk Valley Community College. . On July 12, 1980 he was united in marriage with the former Bonnie Bronson in the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs. For over fifteen years he had worked in the family business, Richfield Tire Wholesale until his retirement in 1986. John will always be remembered as a caring person and was a twenty year member of the Richfield Springs Emergency Rescue Squad. As a devoted husband, father , grandfather and friend he will be greatly missed. Surviving are his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Bonnie, two sons, Shaun and Gregory Neuschel, a daughter, Kristine Drummond a granddaughter, Holly Drummond all of Richfield Springs, his aunt, Phyllis Petrie of Cooperstown, a brother, Parker Neuschel and his wife Carrie of Colchester, VT, a sister, Kathleen Dooling and her husband Donald of Clifton Park, many nieces, nephews, cousins and his close friend Richard Spencer. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, RichfieldSprings. The Reverend Alan Miller will officiate. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends in the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m Expressions of sympathy made be made with memorial donations to the Richfield Springs Emergency Rescue Squad.
