In the company of family and friends on Tuesday, November 28 our loving mother, age 82, embraced her Heavenly Father. And He embraced her with the best hug ever Eternal Love. She is singing with the Angels today. Always facing lifes journey with her mantra Ever onward and blessing her children, grandchildren, friends and care-givers with unconditional love. May the seeds planted by her gentle voice or stern advice continue to grow within all whom she touched as we hear echoes of her other favorite mantra God is good! Jone Marilyn Green was born in Buffalo, New York, daughter of the late William and Maybelle Printup Green. She was educated at Thomas Indian School on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation in Erie County, NY, in her early years and later attended and graduated from Richfield Springs Central School. She furthered her education at SUNY Albany. In August 1955, she was united in marriage to Clyde Robinson in Tannersville, NY. A lady with exceptional artistic ability she enjoyed writing and reading poetry, painting, sewing and quilting. She was a voracious reader of all worldly writings and was a tomboy at heart, both playing and watching basketball and football. Jone was musically gifted as well, with a lovely singing voice that could calm old and young alike. She learned to play the piano, guitar, and harmonica on her own. Her musical spirit and encyclopedic knowledge of songs brought joy to many; as did her love of this world, its varied, endless colors and artistic forms. She was a wonderful embodiment of maternal love and nurturing, to all she met. She is greatly loved and missed by all. Jone was predeceased by her daughter Kittie in 1960 and her husband Clyde in 2015. She is survived by daughters Margo (Phil Roberts), Rebecca (Clenn Hampton), and Pamela (Gerry Shetter); son Christopher (Marci Robinson); granddaughter Rachel Robinson; and grandson Jonas Hampton. On Friday, December 8th the family will be receiving relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 in Binghamton at the Fischer-Scholder Funeral Home, 269 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. Following this there will be a gathering from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel, 225 Water Street, Binghamton, NY 13901. The next day, family will be receiving relatives and friends on Saturday, December 9th from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs, NY. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. After this there will be a gathering at the Genesee Tavern on 38 Lake Street, Richfield Springs, NY 13439. Interment will be in Twilight Rest Cemetery, Monticello (Richfield Springs) next Spring or Summer.
