HERKIMER-Joyce M. Dennison, age 68, of North Main Street passed away on Thursday Morning September 21, 2023 in her home. Joyce was born on April 6, 1955 in Ilion a daughter to the late Stephen R. and Catherine M. Boula Martin. She was raised and educated in Frankfort and a graduate of Frankfort Schuyler High School. After high school she enrolled in Mohawk Valley Community College earning an Associates degree. On July 4, 1975 she married James Dennison in Frankfort. At one time she worked in the Audio Video Department at BOCES and later became dedicated to her family as a Domestic Engineer. In her spare time Joyce enjoyed playing video games, she liked crafting doing "bead art", loved her dogs over the years and most of all being with her children and grandchildren. She was a friend to many and will never be forgotten. Surviving her are her husband of forty-eight years James, a son Stephen R. Dennison of Rome, a daughter Christina Whiteaker and her husband Dustin of Gambrills, Maryland, seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, two sisters, and a grandson Bryan Dennison. Calling hours for Mrs. Dennison will be on Monday from 4:00-6:00pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc. 115 Court Street, Herkimer. A funeral service to follow at 6:00pm with the Reverend Joelle Faulks officiating. Burial will take place at a later convenient to the family. Calling Hours
