RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Judith Mae Timmerman (Judy) age 67 passed away quietly on Friday morning January 9, 2009 at her residence in the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. Miss Timmerman was born on March 26, 1941 in Canandaigua, daughter of the late Maurice and Ellison Mary Watkins Timmerman. She was raised in Canandaigua and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy. Upon graduating from high school she worked as a nurses-aide at the Clifton Springs Hospital. Judy enjoyed the time she spent with her friends and family. She loved writing poems and doing many crafts. Everyone she met appreciated her ready smile and generosity. Her gentle, caring spirit will be missed by her cousins and their families, Mark Watkins of Fairport, Brian Watkins of Voorhesville, Paul Watkins of Colorado Springs, CO, John Watkins of New Philadelphia, OH and Charles Watkins of Mohawk. Besides her parents Maurice and Ellison Timmerman she was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, John and Helen Watkins, a brother, Harold Timmerman and her special friend and companion Ronald Pasho The family will have a special memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers her family would appreciate that memorial donations be made to the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, 99 Sixth Avenue, Ilion, NY 13357 where she was able to live in comfort with the attention of a caring staff.
