HERKIMER - Katherine Pribish, 83, of 104 N. Washington St., formerly of 220 Folts St., passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Jan. 19, 2002, in Little Falls Hospital.
She was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Herkimer, daughter of the late Paul and Kristina Omasta Ochodnicki. A lifelong Herkimer resident, she was educated in Herkimer schools. On July 17, 1938, she married Steve Pribish in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Herkimer, a loving a devoted union of over 52 years until his passing Jan. 30, 1991. For 20 years she was employed by Univac, retiring in 1977.
Mrs. Pribish had a strong belief in God and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Herkimer. She was a life member of the Ex-POWs of America, Utica.
She was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.
Surviving are her two grandsons, Steven Gordon and his wife Rita of Warner Robine, Ga. and David Gordon of Rome; a sister, Ann Holt of Albion; a sister-in-law, Anne Pendergrass of Mohawk; one great-grandson, Dustin; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Steve, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Gordon, in 1998 and a sister, Elizabeth Belanger.
A graveside service will be held later this spring in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. The Rev. Dale Dickerson, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Herkimer will officiate.
