HERKIMER-Kathleen M. Farrell, age 57, of South Main Street, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, October 25, 2006 in her home. She was born November 23, 1948 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Harvey and Elizabeth Betty Leve Dunckel. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Ilion High School. She had lived in both Mohawk and Ilion before moving to Herkimer in 2004. For twenty-five years Mrs. Farrell worked as an assembler for the Salada-Redco Food Company in Little Falls. She had a strong belief in God and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Herkimer. Kathleen was also a member of the Herkimer American Legion Post #38 Ladies Auxiliary. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking. To all who knew her they will remember a quiet, caring and loving person. We rejoice that she was a part of our lives. Surviving are a son, Daniel Smith of Mohawk, a sister, Beverly Matusik of Frankfort, four brothers, Art and his wife Jenny Dunckel of Ilion, Harvey and his wife Marilyn Dunckel of Herkimer, Marty and his companion Judy Walawender of Mohawk, David Dunckel of Ilion, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 3:00pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Wrightson Tongue, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer will officiate. Interment will take place on Monday at 1:00 pm in Fort Plain Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Saturday two hours prior to the funeral service (1:00 to 3:00 pm).
