HERKIMER - Larry Nylund Randt, age 54, of North Main Street, entered into eternal rest on Thursday afternoon, May 20, 2004 in Valley Health Services.
Larry was born on May 7, 1950, in Ilion, son of the late Russel and Mary "Molly" Randt. A lifelong area resident, he was educated in Little Falls and went on to Herkimer County Community College where he maintained a 4.0 average and won a trip to the United Nations for scholastic excellence. Larry had worked at several jobs, including many years at Mohawk Data Sciences, Herkimer.He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten. Surviving him are two sons, Andy and his wife Shelly Randt of Rome and Lance Randt of Mohawk; four grandchildren, Hunter, Trinity, Ashley and Brianna; his former wife, Sharon; five sisters, Sylvia Snyder and Remona Raux, both of Mohawk, Elaine and her husband David Wolf of Columbus, Ohio, Carol and her husband Doug DeRosia of Longmont, Colo., and Beth Krick of Herkimer; five brothers, George Snyder and his fiancee Nadine Pope of Little Falls, Raymond and Jody Randt of Westmoreland, Wayne Randt of Ilion, Carl and Vicky Randt of Little Falls, and Gary Randt and his companion Barb Glading of West Winfield. He also leaves a friend, Janet and her children Tammy and Davy; a very special friend, Robin George; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc. 115 Court St., Herkimer, on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. A funeral service will take place immediately after the visiting hours at 4 p.m. Committal will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Mohawk Cemetery.The family wishes to thank the many people who cared for Larry including Hospice, the many doctors at Bassett Healthcare, and the staff of Welcome Home in Richfield Springs for their care and compassion.
