RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Laurence B. Chase age 54 of Walnut Street entered into eternal rest on Friday January 21, 2005 in his home.
He was born on November 15, 1950 in Oneonta, son of the late Charles Watson and Jessie Dorothy Weidman. A lifelong area resident he was a graduate of New Berlin High School, class of 1969. He has resided in Richfield Springs since 1972 coming from West Edmeston. On September 18, 1998 he was united in marriage with Patricia Purcell in Richfield Springs.
For twenty-one years he was a welder for Mohawk Metals in Frankfort and currently employed with F.S. Gromarks in Sangerfield. He will be greatly missed by many and will never be forgotten.
Surviving besides his loving wife Patricia are one daughter, Kristie Chase of Albany, a step-daughter Renee Hugick of Richfield Springs, five brothers and their wives, Russell and Leatrice Chase of Earlville, Chester and Mary Chase of Taberg, Marvin and Linda Chase of Hamilton, David and Amber Chase of Mount Morris, MI, William and Grace Chase of Sherburne, four sisters, Elsie Lund of Burlington Flats, Rita McLean of Sylvan Beach, The Reverend Diane Pearl of Oneida, Katherine and her husband Edwin of West Edmeston, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, a brother Ernest Chase preceded him in death.
The family will be present in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs to receive relatives and friends on Monday (today) from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm with the Reverend Diane Pearl officiating.
