SCHUYLER LAKE-Lawrence Elden Davenport, age 65, of 7373 State Highway # 28 passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning March 12, 2002 in his home after a long illness.
He was born on January 29, 1937, in Milton, New Jersey son ofVerna Kimble Davenport Fredericks and the late Paul Roger Davenport. Larry wasraised in Butler, NJ and was a graduate of Butler High School. In 1960 heentered the US Army where he served in Korea and was honorably discharged in1962. A resident of Schuyler Lake since 1990 he came here from Milton, NJ. Hewas employed locally at the Rosewood Adult Care Home in Richfield Springs.
He had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Catholiclife. He was a member of Saint Joseph's Church Richfield Springs where he playedthe organ at the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Saturdays. He was a caring, hopeful personand will be missed by many.
Surviving are his mother; Verna Fredericks, one aunt;Elizabeth Antis both of Sparta, NJ; a cousin, Marie O'Brien; three step-cousinsand their wives, Robert and Denna Fredericks, Calvin and Karen Fredericks, Wayneand Sharon Fredericks.
Funeral from his residence on State Highway # 28 on Friday at9:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow in Saint Joseph's ChurchRichfield Springs at 10:00 a.m.. The Reverend Terrance Healey will officiate.The family will be present in his home to receive friends and relatives onThursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Mr. Davenport will be laid to rest in theNorman Cemetery, Milton, NJ on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
