Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS Lee C. Seamon age 99 of County Highway 23, passed away on Wednesday Morning March 20, 2019 in the VA Hospital in Syracuse. Lee was born December 2, 1919 in the Town of Exeter a son of the late Louis and Martha Domion Seamon. He was raised and educated in Schuyler Lake. He served our country in the United States Army during World War II fighting in the European Theater. He married the former Mary Garbera in Duanesburg on August 15, 1942, a blessed union of sixty five years until her passing in 2007. After the war he settled back in Exeter running the Seamon Dairy Farm. Lee worked the farm until 2015. He was a member of the Dairy Mans League and the NFO. Surviving him are his son Lee Roy Seamon and his wife Kathy of Richfield, two daughters Vivian Sparks and her husband Clinton of Schuyler Lake, Linda Pedersen of North Grosvenordale, CT , four brothers Howard Seamon of Cooperstown, James Seamon of Richfield Springs, Grant Seamon and his wife Joan of Richfield Springs, and Merton Seamon of Florida, a sister Elizabeth Collins of Florida, several grandchildren , great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife Mary he was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters. Calling hours for Mr. Seamon will take place on Saturday March 30, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs. Funeral to follow calling hours in the funeral home at 4:00pm with Reverend Alan Miller officiating. A private burial will take place later this spring in Schuyler Lake Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be in donations to the Schuyler Lake Fire Department, envelopes will be available in the funeral home Calling Hours J.
