Obituary

HERKIMER-Leslie Bernard Domion age 83 of Midtown Apartments, North Prospect Street entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning February 13, 2003 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. He was born on January 31, 1920 in the town of Richfield, son of the late Frank and Anna Ronnowski Domion. A lifelong area resident he was raised and educated in Richfield Springs Schools. On June 23, 1973 he married Gertrude Nancy Boss in Richfield Springs. Mr. Domion owned and operated the Domion Dairy Farm in Richfield Springs, retiring in 1983. He and his wife have resided ion Herkimer since 1984. Les loved the outdoors and nature. He had a great sense of humor and a good word for everyone he met. He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten. Surviving besides his loving wife of twenty-nine years Gertrude, are four step-sons; Steven Reader of Canastota, Robert Reader of Colts Neck, NJ, David Reader of Parish, Howard Lee Seamon of Georgia, one step-daughter; Virginia Anne Reader of Parish, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 until 6:00 pm. Mr. Domion will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer later this spring at a time to be announced. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donating to the Herkimer Junior Police Academy, 120 Green Street, Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
