Linda I Cool's Obituary

PRATTSVILLE - Linda I. Cool, 49, of Route 13, Prattsville, went home to be with the Lord with her loving family by her side on July 26, 2006. She was born in Utica the daughter of Charles and Lee Tillson of Frankfort. Lin attended local valley schools and was a 1975 graduate of Ilion Central High School. On July 16, 1977, Lin married her childhood sweetheart Clifford C. Cool, Jr. Their marriage was characterized by their true love and devotion to one another with Jesus Christ as the center of their lives. Linda joined her husband in 1986 as they embarked upon their calling to serve as Elders and pastors of Mt. Zion Ministries Church in Utica. In 1992 in and Cliff were sent out as Senior Pastors of Hope Restoration Church in Windham.A loving wife, a devoted mom and faithful encourager to the flock of her church, Lin will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she so passionately touched. Lin especially loved the Christmas season being surrounded by her family and friends. Lin also loved to shop, to take scenic motorcycles rides with her husband for that "special cup of coffee", and the hobby she found most relaxing was her word puzzles. Lin loved to praise and worship Jesus in song and to teach God's people His Word.She is survived by her devoted husband and Pastor, Cliff; a daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Bobby Allen; a daughter Kimberly; and a son, Cliff, III; several aunts and uncles: Lawrence and Anita Polisse of Frankfort; George and Shirley Williams of New Hartford; Russell and Marion Tillson of Cedarville; and William and Marion Eastman of Fairfax, VT; four brothers: Charles Tillson III of KY; Kenneth and his wife, Deborah, Tillson of Frankfort; Brian and his wife, Lynn, Tillson of Clayville; and Alan of RI; one sister, Donna, and her husband Gordon Peckham of Sauquoit; father and mother-in-law Clifford C., Sr. and Irene E. Cool of Frankfort. Lin is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nephews.The family will receive relatives and friends at the New Life Church and Ministry Center located at 337 Protection Ave., Herkimer. Funeral arrangements are made by the Decker Funeral Home in Windham and the Fenner Funeral Home in Herkimer. Calling hours at the New Life Church will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 30, 2006.Lin's funeral will begin at 11:00am on Monday, July 31, 2006 from the sanctuary of New Life Church and Ministry Center where we will celebrate her life. Services will be officiated by Pastor Charlie Sweet, who is also Lin's brother-in-law. Graveside services and committal will be at the Norwich Corners Cemetery located on Graffenburg Road in the town of Litchfield.We would like to thank our personal friends and also our loving family at Mt. Zion Ministries Church in Utica, for all their prayers, calls, and cards of encouragement. We would also like to extend our special thanks to our pastors Mike and Barbara Servello for their love, prayers and support. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation in Lin's name to the Windham Community Food Pantry in Windham. We know it would be Lin's wish to continually bless the community that blessed her. Envelopes will be made available during the viewing time.
