HERKIMER-Linda Marie LaBarge age 62 of Lake Street passed away on Saturday afternoon September 12, 2009 in St. Elizabeths MedicalCenter, Utica. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side. She was born on April 29, 1947 in Utica, daughter of the late Walter and Virginia Johnson Brisson. A lifelong area resident she was educated in St. Peters School, Utica and went on to graduate from Utica Catholic Academy. On May 22, 1976 she was united in marriage with Gary E. LaBarge. They have made their home in Herkimer since 1995. For a short time Linda worked as a Special Education Assistant at the Remington Schoolin Ilion until her family came along. She then decided to be a stay at home mom caring for both her husband and children. Mrs. LaBarge was a devoted member of St. Francis deSales Church, Herkimer. In her leisure time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. To her family, cherished are the memories of the home she made for them and the warm, pleasant aromas of her cooking and holiday baking. To her many friends she will always be remembered as a caring, loving and hopeful person. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband of thirty-three years, Gary, three daughters Kimberly LaBarge, Ashleigh LaBarge and Destiny LaBarge all of Herkimer, two brothers, Daniel Brisson and his wife Laurie of Marcy, William Brisson of Utica, two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Brisson. Funeral from Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer on Tuesday at 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in St. Francis deSales Church, Herkimer. The Reverend Mark Cunningham, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday (today) from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.
