ERIN-Linda Ann Lamphere age 51 of Breesport Road formerly of Herkimer passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 16, 2008 in her home. She was born on April 30, 1957 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Everett J. and Helen V. Chumley Lamphere. Linda was raised in Herkimer and was a graduate of Herkimer High School. She furthered her education graduating from HerkimerCounty Community College and Cornell University where she received her Bachelors Degree. She had specialized in animal care, working for the Bronx Zoo and in more recent years at Cornell University Veterinary School. She has resided in Erin since 2004. Lindas life was totally dedicated to the care of animals big or small. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring individual who was very generous, donating to many charities particularly the Save the Whales Project and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Surviving are her brother, Kevin L. Lamphere and his wife Sandra on Herkimer, two nephews, Dustin and Todd Lamphere, a cousin, Carla Mackey and her best friend Cheryl Moore.
