Obituary

HERKIMER - Linda Ellen Schrader, age 57. of Lake Street, passed away after a long illness on Thursday afternoon April 5, 2001 in the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion. She was born on January 22, 1944, in Ilion, daughter of Grace Bowman Ingerham and the late Walter Ingerham. A lifelong Herkimer resident, she was a graduate of Herkimer High School. On May 1, 1965 she married Wayne J. "Butch" Schrader in Fort Plain. For five years Linda had worked as a nurses aide at the Herkimer County Home, retiring in 1993. Linda was happiest when she was surrounded by her friends and loving family, especially her four grandchildren. Before her illness her leisure time was spent crocheting and camping. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Herkimer. Surviving are her devoted husband of thirty-five years "Butch"; a son, Wayne "Joe" Schrader and his wife Cynthia of Little Falls; a daughter, Colleen and her husband Jeffery Gross of Herkimer; three brothers, Vaughn "Mike" Ingerham, Gary Ingerham of Columbia Center, Ingram "Ingy" Ingerham of Ilion; four sisters, Jean White, Jeanette Young, Joyce Sanderson, Alice White all of Ilion; four grandchildren, Zachary Schrader of Little Falls, Jacob Gross of Herkimer, John and Jessica Irons of Little Falls, several nieces, nephews and cousins and dear friends Tom and Donna Graham of Moahwk. Besides her father Walter she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Richard Ingerham. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Herkimer. The Reverend Dale Dickerson pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Little Falls Hospital or the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Linda's family wishes to thank the fourth floor nursing staff of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home for their care and compassion during her stay.
