MOHAWK-Lois A. Aney age 75 of Rock Hill Road, entered into eternal rest on Friday morning September 23, 2005 in Little Falls Hospital.
She was born on September 12, 1930 in the town of Warren, daughter of the late Fred and Corabell Bronner Plever. A lifelong area resident, she was raised in the town of Warren and graduated from VanHornesville Central School. On September 3, 1949 she married Donald W. Aney at the Aney Family Farm in Warren.
Lois was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially the good times they all shared playing cards. She had a unique knack of keeping track of everyones birthday. Her friends could always count on card from her weather it was their birthday or just about any other holiday that might come along. She was a member of the Jordanville Federated Church, the Ladies Aid Society of the church and the Richfield Grange.
Mrs. Aney will always be remembered as a loving, caring and hopeful person. She will be greatly missed
Surviving are her husband of fifty-six years Donald, two sons Garry and Darryl Aney both of Mohawk, three daughters, Linda Wainwright and her husband Alan of Nelliston, Gail Aney of Mohawk, Lisa Grant and her husband Brian of Smyrna, GA, a brother, Floyd and his wife Barbara Plever of Jordanville, two sisters and their husbands Lillian and Thomas Armstrong of Springfield Center, Marion and James Gardner of Mohawk, four grandchildren, Joshua Crews of GA, Randy Crews of Brooklyn, Jacqueline Grant and Brian Liam Grant both of GA, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Jordanville Federated Church. The Reverend Scott Hocking, Pastor will officiate. There are no public calling hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made with donations to The American Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association or the Richfield Springs Emergency Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the church.
