HERKIMER - Lois C. Bahry, age 66, of Baum Road, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning March 12, 2015 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown with her family at her side. She was born on July 19, 1948, in Herkimer, daughter of the late Henry and Lois PiperRiesel. A lifelong area resident she graduated with honors from Herkimer High School with the class of 1966. On January 4, 1969 she married Daniel Bahry in Ilion. For twenty-two years she had worked for Dufold Manufacturing. In 1995 she retired from Nice and Easy Convenient Store in Herkimer. In her leisure time she would spend time outdoors working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends especially the during the holidays gatherings. To all who knew Lois, she will be remembered as a loving person who was has happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-six years, Daniel, her son, Daniel Jr., a sister Lynn Pine and her husband Roy, all of Herkimer, a half sister Beth Ann Neale and her husband Clifford of Ilion, a brother Karl Riesel of North Carolina, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Alan and Joseph Riesel. Funeral arrangements and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home Inc., Herkimer.
