HERKIMER - Lorraine J. Sudakow age 62 of 105 Protection Avenue passed away on Tuesday evening March 15, 2011 in her home. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side.
She was born on December 29, 1948 in Little Falls, daughter of the late Raymond and Muriel Yanney Hunt. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Oppenheim-Euphrata High School. Lorraine had worked for the Daniel Green Shoe Company in Dolgeville and later for the VanAllen Skilled Nursing Facility in Little Falls.
On April 2, 2005 she was united in marriage with Lewis P. Sudakow in the Community Room at the Nathan Galinsky Apartment Building, with Herkimer Mayor Mark Ainsworth officiating, They have made their home at Nathan Galinsky since that time.
To those who knew Lorraine, will remember a loving, caring and hopeful person. She adored young children and found great joy in caring for them. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her man friends and family especially her two cherished grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her husband of seven years Lewis, three sons, David Montana and his wife Joann, Jeffrey Montana and Todd Montana all of Herkimer, two brothers and their wives, Gary and Susan Hunt of Utica, Ozzie and Maria Hunt of Herkimer, one sister, Elizabeth and her husband Paul Alan Coons of Mount Juliet, TN,, two grandchildren, Brittany and Zoie Montana both of Herkimer, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ramona Presley and Rhonda Hunt and a grandson, David Montana Jr.
Funeral service will take place on Sunday at 3:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. The Reverend Janet Gleason, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls will officiate. Interment will be later this spring in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls at a time to be announced.
