HERKIMER-Lura Maranville age 90 a resident of Valley Health Services Inc., formerly of Guy Prindle Apartments Ilion, passed away on Sunday March 31, 2002 in Valley Health Services Inc. Mrs. Maranville was born on November 3, 1911 in East Herkimer, daughter of the late John and Minnie Davis. She was a graduate of Herkimer High School. Her marriage to Harry S. Maranville of Poultney, VT took place in 1937. They moved to Mohawk, where they resided for many years. Her husband died in 1963. She was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Order of the Amaranth. She also worked with the Head Start. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Ellen and Witold Wiernicki of Mohawk, Mary and Bud Ratajack of Poland, seven grandchildren and their spouses, Susan and Todd Eisenach of NE, Wendy and Peter Scott of OR, Michael and Kim Wiernicki of GA, Alan and Michele Wiernicki of MA, Peter and Sarah Wiernicki of NH, Paul Wierniki of MD, Mary (Cathy) Williams of NY, nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Guido, Henry Eisenach, Alex, Lucy and Julia Wiernicki, Isabella, Molly and Jillian Scott, and Connor Wiernicki, a sister-in-law Roberta Davis of NH, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Earl Davis, four sisters Ida Eysaman, Pearl Clark, Dessie Cornell and Stella Richardson. There is no calling hours. Family and friends are asked to gather for graveside services at the family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery on Sunday at 2:00 PM. The Reverend Dwayne A.
