HERKIMER Lynn M. Sands-Pagan, age 44, of Eastern Gardens, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 13, 2003 in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 3, 1958 in Utica the daughter of Donald Sands and the late Patricia Ann (Walkuski) Sands. Raised and educated in Utica, she graduated from holy Trinity High School. A lifelong area resident she lived in Utica before moving to Herkimer in 1998. Lynn was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed playing cards with the members. She was full of life, love and laughter. To all who knew her they will remember her as a loving, caring and hopeful person. She enjoyed going to garage sales and jet skiing with her friend Diane Cioch. She was fascinated with Dolphins and had a collection of pictures and statues of them. She leaves to mourn and cherish her love and memories; her father Donald Sands of Fort Pierce, FL; one son, James Jeffrey Pagan, Sr., of Herkimer; two daughters, Cylyna Fellone and her husband Robert of Herkimer, Sara Beth Pagan of Rome; five grandchildren, Ashley Shaver, Patricia Sands, Taylor Fellone, James Pagan Jr., Anthony Michael Enslin, her Godmother, Tina Schmidt of Los Angles, CA, several aunts, uncles and cousins and her feline companion Texie. Besides her mother she was predeceased by her brother Jeffery Sands in 1981. Funeral service will be on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home, 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Calling hours will be on Monday fro 4-7 p.m. Members of American Legion Post 38 Auxiliary are asked to meet in the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. for services. The family would like to thank the staff of Bassett Healthcare in Herkimer for their kindness and compassion to Lynn during her extended illness.
