Margaret Mary Fudjack, age 82 formerly of Midtown Apartments, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 2016, in Homelife at Folts. She had the love and support of her daughter Michele at her side. Margaret was born on August 6, 1933, in Brooklyn, daughter of the late George and Marguerite Hectus Koerner. She with her family with moved to his area at a young age and was a graduate of Ilion High School, class of 1951. Margaret at one time was married to John Fudjack. She had worked as a secretary for the Albany Medical Center for two years, Remington Rand for four years and at Reliance Electrical Engineering in Syracuse for six years until 1966 before devoting her entire life to being a full time housewife and mother. To those who knew her she had a strong sense of community, Mrs. Fudjack was a member of the East Herkimer Seniors, the Herkimer Village Seniors, where she served as treasurer and was a member of two bowling leagues in Ilion where she had served as secretary. She enjoyed doing for others while looking for nothing in return. She will be sadly missed. Surviving are her devoted daughter, Michele Seaman of Herkimer, two granddaughters, Maureen Seaman of Auburn, Megan Riedl and her husband Jeremy of Auburn, two great granddaughters, Magnolia and Marigold Riedl of Auburn, two brothers, Raymond Koerner of Camerillo, CA, Leo and Janice McCoy of New York Mills, a sister-in-law Beverly Koerner of Florida, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother George Koerner and a nephew, Adam Koerner. Calling hours for Mrs. Fudjack will be on Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be on Monday morning at 11:00 am in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Folts Home first floor nursing staff for the care and compassion shown to Margaret during her stay at the home.
