HERKIMER-Margaret Waite Jones age 91of 690 West German Street formerly of Prindle Apartments, Ilion, passed away on Sunday evening March 27, 2016 in Valley Health Services, Inc. She was born on June 4, 1924 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie Krieger Lewis. Margaret was raised and educated in Herkimer. She worked as a cost accountant for Univac and later for Cherry Burrell Company in Little Falls. She retired in 1987. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting. Mrs. Jones lived a quiet life and was totally devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah and her husband Michael Morris of Herkimer, one son, Wayne Waite and his fianc Helen Korman of Saint Paul, MN, six grandchildren, Richard, Louis, Michele Louis, Jason, Marc and Matthew Waite, Lynn Marie Derezinski, ten great-grandchildren, several, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Lewis in World War II, Millard Lewis and a sister, Dorothy Sinnot. Calling hours for Mrs. Jones will be on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park town of Kirkland will take place at a later time convenient to the family.
