MOHAWK-Margaret Frances McCaw age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday April 19, 2021 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. She was born on October 2, 1938 in Ilion, daughter of the late Allie R. and Margaret K. Schuster Mack. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Frankfort High School with the class of 1958. On July 2, 1966 she was united in marriage to Robert Lowell McCaw in Saints Peter and Paul R.C. Church in Frankfort. It was that year they moved to Mohawk and have resided there since. For twenty years, Mrs. McCaw worked as an office worker at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Utica She then went on to work for Snyder Bicycle Manufacturing in Little Falls for ten years, and later worked at the Holt Buick Dealership in Ilion. She retired in 1987. Margaret had a strong belief in God and was a devoted member of Holy Family Parish R.C. Church in Little Falls. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, clipping coupons and tending to feeding their backyard chipmunk. Years ago, she was active with the C-B Radio crowd. To all who knew her, they will never forget a warm, compassionate, caring and loving lady with an unforgettable smile. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family. She will be truly missed. Surviving besides her loving husband of fifty-four years Robert, one brother William R. Mack and his wife Nancy Clarkson of Rensselear, a niece Sandra Wadsworth and her husband Gary, a grandniece Alyssa Wadsworth, all of Ilion, and several cousins. Funeral service and interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort, were private and at the convenience of the family.
